Program Overview / Curriculum

What does Prime Time Academy Offer You and Your Child?
The activities we plan for children, the way we organize the environment, select toys and materials, plan the daily schedule, interact and talk with children, are all designed to help give your child a successful start in life.

We prepare nutritious meals and snacks that are available for viewing in the calendar section for parents of enrolled children. Weather permitting, we have at least two outdoors sessions each day for plenty of fresh air, climbing, running, playing games, hopscotch, bouncing balls, jumping rope....having kid fun.

I can confidently leave my son in the morning and know that he is well taken care of and loved at all times. I have seen the academic progress he has made in the past year." Maria Elmore

Prime Time Academy's unique curriculum nurtures and challenges your child. Our program provides a safe and nurturing environment which promotes the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of our children. Our curriculum is theme based. Teachers use these themes to develop activities that meet stated objectives. With these themes and supporting help from management, the teachers prepare age-appropriate lessons. Weekly lesson plans are posted in each classroom area. Progress is markedly visible as your child advances through each level. Children are encouraged to be inquisitive - to explore and discover - while at the same time receiving direction and guidance toward achieving specific, developmentally appropriate goals. When our children graduate and embark on their "formal education", they begin at an advanced level and with a love of learning.

Our curriculum identifies goals in all areas of developmemt.

  • Physical: Helping children increase their large and small muscle skills and feel confident about what their bodies can do.

  • Emotional: Helping children experience pride and self-confidence. Helping children develop independence, self-control and to have positive attitudes toward life.

  • Social: Helping children feel comfortable in school, trust their new environment, make friends and to feel they are part of a group.

  • Cognitive: Helping children become confident learners by letting them test their skills, such as ability to solve problems, ask questions, and use words to describe their thoughts and feelings.

  • Where do teachers take their children, and what do local district teachers have to say about Prime Time?

"I always see the teachers interacting with the children in a positive way. You can tell the teachers really care about the children and look at their individual needs. It's a great school."

"All of the children's needs are addressed in a loving and helpful manner."

"The physical arrangement of the center provides an opportunity for the children to learn and explore."

"I have seen the academic progress he has made in the last year... I cannot say enough about the quality childcare my son receives from you."

    Parent / Teacher Conferences
Prime Time teachers schedule conferences with parents two times a year. Parents need the opportunity to discuss their child's development progress. You can schedule a phone conference or additional meetings at any time during the year. We believe the communication between parents and teachers is vital.
